Veterans 军人

该诗写于学校“美国退伍军人节”前夕，作为全校选出的优秀诗歌，由娇娇亲自为军人朗诵她的诗。

They stand straight and tall

Barely trembling with fear

They serve with strength and bravery

The battle they fight is earthshaking

What they go through is unimaginable

As they still fight in this hurricane of sacrifice…

Thickness fills the air

For smoke blinds theirs eyes

As they look around

Their hearts sink with sorrow

Piercing sounds scar their thoughts for life

With this fearful battle, it’s hard to keep hope

But their stronger faith embraces

They’re the mist in the inky smoke

They are the dream in a mind full of fear

But can you have courage in this bleak, dark world?

Adrenaline fills the air

The world spins

But when the war ends

And the smoke clears…

The Veterans are the only ones

Still standing straight and tall…

Under the flag

of red, white, and blue

As if the war never happened…

他们的身躯高大伟岸

没有丝毫恐惧的颤抖

他们用英勇无畏迎战

他们的战斗如排山倒海，雷霆万钧

他们的置身如倒悬之危， 危殆重重

他们所经历的是不可想象的

但他们仍然在这场牺牲的飓风中战斗

烟雾弥漫于尘埃之中

遮挡住了他们的双眼

当他们再次环顾四周

他们的心因伤痛而沉沦

刺耳的声音扼杀了他们对生命的所思

在这场可怕的战斗中，很难秉持希望

但他们怀揣着强烈的信仰

他们是烟雾中的一缕清风

他们是充满恐惧心灵背后的梦想

然而，在这个黯淡黑暗的世界里

你能有这般勇气吗？

激昂充满空气

世界天旋地转

当战争结束

当烟雾清除

他们的身躯依然

高大 伟岸 屹立

在红色，白色和蓝色的旗帜下

好像战争从未发生过......
